CONCRETE POLISHING SPEC:
Concrete floors will be diamond ground, diamond polished and densified. Floor of the Future uses a
proprietary combination of a minimum of three metal bond diamond steps, five resin bond diamonds, and a
premium densifier that has earned a "high traction" floor rating (Minimum SCOF of 0.60 or greater wet or dry). Edges (usually 2 in. to 4 in.) will be blended using powered hand tools and matching diamond grits where necessary. The floor will meet the standards to qualify for the Optional Floor of the Future Absolute Gloss Retention Warranty. All machines will weigh a minimum of 850lbs and have a cutting diameter of at least 30 inches. If acid stain is called for, L. M. Scofield will be applied at the appropriate time.
Notes:
Floor protection is necessary before and after polishing (hydra-cure sheet are recommended) and
all machinery inside must be diapered for oil protection. Pipe cutting areas must be especially covered
to prevent oil penetration.
